Blue Chalcedony: (pronounced 'kal-sed-on-ee') ranges in color from palest milky blue to pale milky lavender. This gemstone has enjoyed spiraling popularity amongst gemologists along with equally rising costs. 
Chalcedony gets its name from the Greek City, Chalcedon. 

Mystical Properties: Blue Chalcedony is most commonly thought to give physical strength, endurance and beauty to the wearer.

Revelation states that Chalcedony is the 3rd layer in the City of Heavan. Rabainus Maurus, Archbishop of Mainz believed Chalcedony was the 2nd apocalyptic gemstone, representing "inner charity".

Associated with the Moon, therefore with Cancer. Likewise, it is also associated with dreams and nightmares. Old Spanish texts sometimes associate Chalcedony with Capricorn.

Ancient Assyrian and Babylonian burial cylinders were sometimes fashioned from Chalcedony.

As a protector, it is said to ward off negative magic and psychic attack. It is also thought to provide protection during political upset and while traveling.

Healing Properties: Gall Bladder problems. Depression and bad dreams. Improve lactation.

Scientific Properties: Composed of amorphous silica.

Aventurine: gets its name from the Italian "a ventura", meaning "by mistake" as synthetic aventurine was discovered by accident when some copper fell into a vat of molten glass. Another explanation is that "a ventura" means "randomly" and describes the random flakes of mica in the stone. Natural Green Aventurine, a variety of translucent quartz, derives its color from minor inclusions of unoxidized iron minerals. Aventurine also comes in blue and peach or orange. Mystical Properties:  Green Aventurine is often referred to as the "Gambler's Stone" as it is thought to help those who enjoy games of chance and attract money and luck to the wearer.

Scientific Properties: Composed of Silicon Dioxide with various inclusions. Green Aventurine is often micro-crystalline (i.e., small crystals) the raw texture of which is often referred to as "sucrosic" as it looks like tiny sugar crystals. Green attributes its color to fuchsite mica. 

Most Green Aventurine is found in India. Hardness: 6-7 on the Moh's Hardness Scale

Amazonite: is the blue-green variety of translucent to transparent microcline feldspar (an igneous rock). It gets its name from the Amazon River, where it was first discovered. 

There are 2 color varieties--the more common pastel aqua, the other, a deep blue/green. Mystical Properties: Said to aid those wishing to develop clairvoyant abilities and sometimes recommended as a companion when doing Tarot, I Ching, readings, etc. Said to bestow truth, honor and integrity to its wearer.

Thought to enhance love, sooth emotions and tense, aggravated situations.Thought to vibrate with Virgo energy.Said to counter "psychic burnout". Thought to break an unlucky streak and enhance winning at games-of-chance.
